Stoke City

Tony Aldridge

2 - 1

The good bits – Our first win away from home this calendar year, our first win without Mane this calendar year and finally I can say that Minge-olet earned his paycheck today and single handedly stole 2 if not 3 points from Stoke. The bad bits – Klopp’s shockingly bad formation and team selection in the first 45, we were bereft of anything decent going forward but still had the shocking defending to go with it. But thankfully a bit of Brazilian magic saved the day. But a large part of the credit should go to Minge-olet, both his saves were world class and saved us another embarrassing result, which would have put our Champions League spot under serious doubt. Looking at our schedule the remaining 6 games should result in 18 points. But you just know it won’t, it seems it’s never easy with Liverpool and this will be no different.

Bellend of the Match: Klopp – The 3-5-2 formation was just horrendous and the switch to 3-4-3 was much improved going forward but still defensively shite
Man of the match – Simon Mignolet that might just be the first time I’ve ever written that, but yes it’s well deserved. Honourable Mention: Firmino and Couthino, world class strike by the former.
