Hull City

Liverpool 5(4th) – Hull 1(13th)

'They didn’t give us a chance to breathe' - Hull Captain Curtis Davies. Couldn’t sum it up better myself mate. Very high praise from an opposing Captain. There’s me giving Klopp shit for not signing a left back, but sticking Milner there instead. What the hell do I know? Sod all apparently. I must admit I was a little nervous about this game, our current form is not quite enough for the Burnley result to completely disappear from memory. So the 5 -1 drubbing of Hull was an...

Chelsea 1(5th) Liverpool 2(6th)

10 points in 5 games, points take from Arsenal away, Spurs away and now Chelsea away. What a game and what a goal. Henderson has been receiving a fair bit of abuse lately from fans an pundits alike, and rightfully so in my opinion. But on Friday those naysayers (me included) should admit that that was one hell of a captain like performance. Liverpool 4(6th) – Leicester 1(16th)

Welcome to the NuAnfield (too soon?). How much better is your weekend with three points in your pocket? I almost don’t know where to start. Sturridge’s work rate off the ball was fantastic, drawing out two defenders to allow space for Firmino’s first goal, and an audacious back heel for Mane’s goal to make it 2 nil, and he really should have had one if not two goals himself, just brilliant. How Firmino is not in the Brazil side is baffling. He’s work rate and coolness in front of the...

Tottenham 1(7th) – Liverpool 1(11th)

Feels like 2 points dropped really. Liverpool came out to a flying start, completely outplayed Spurs for the first 45, and should have been done and dusted by then really. We missed some clinical finishing (Coutinho) and what was a penalty last week, not so much this week. The clutching and grabbing in the penalty area must be stopped, and the league agrees. What I don’t agree with on any level is the inconstancy of refereeing. Vertonghen’s obvious shirt pull was seen but a telling off by...
