Liverpool 2 (2nd) - Sunderland 0 (20th)

Well that was harder than I thought it would be. Liverpool's win was based on hard graft and patience, a lesson fans (me included) should learn from. Like I said last week, a must win, and win we did. Against a very resolute defense I might add. Maestro Klopp got his choir singing again after they fell silent and shortly thereafter Origi comes up with a beautiful curler that found the back of the net. What a goal. The breakthrough that we couldn't find last week thankfully arrived and...

Southampton 0 (10th) - Liverpool 0 (1st)

A draw that feels like a loss? Maybe. Liverpool were not their usual clinical self today, but make no mistake about it Southampton are a tough team to beat at home, and when its chucking down with rain and they put 10 men behind the ball it was never going to be easy. But we still had chances, most notably Firmino and Clyne both had guilt edge chances and you just knew one goal would have put this game to bed. I was surprised that Klopp waited so long to bring on a couple of fresh legs but...

Liverpool 2 (3rd) – West Brom 1 (13th)

Enjoy your weekend reds? Your damn right you did. 80 mins of brilliant football followed by 10 nervy minutes. Yep a set piece again, but it was more luck than skill. But 3 points in the books made all the more sweeter with, Man u, Man City, Arsenal, Everton and Spurs all dropping points. I can’t decide why we looked better up front today than last Monday, was it West Brom or was it Sturridge on the bench? The movement of our front four Firmino, Coutinho, Mane and Lallana is truly breath...

Liverpool 0(4th) – Man U 0(7th)

Not exactly the way I’d envisioned the match in my, let’s just say, slightly moist dreams. And no this match won’t go down in the annuals of history as “one to watch”. Damn shame we were shockingly bad for the first 20 mins. Poor first touches, poor passing, poor decision making. Thankfully the football genius that is Jose Mourinho, decided that taking a page from Tony Pulis play book was the best course of action. Play not to lose. But enough about Man U. We were shite, but mainly...

Swansea 1(17th) – Liverpool 2(4th)

A nervy game to say the least. A horrific first 45 mins, unable to deal with a set piece AGAIN, our beloved reds were down 1 nil after only 8 minutes. And really we should have been down 2 or 3 by half time. My nervousness of the Hull game was a week early I guess. I haven’t wanted to hear a half time whistle that badly for a long time, but come it did. The fact that Klopp decided to sub on Sturridge for Lallana showed his intent that he thought we could still get three points from this...
